Error message: “Komp is not available”

If your Komp has lost connection or is not coming online during installation, read here what you can do.

 

If your Komp is using 4G

When you are installing your Komp for the first time, it might take a little while before Komp connects with the 4G network. If it is still not coming online after 10 minutes, or it has lost its connection, follow the steps below:

  1. Restart Komp by removing the power cable for 10 seconds. Often this will re-establish the connection.
  2. Check if the SIM card is inserted correctly. The card should be in line with the frame. If the SIM is not inserted properly, push it gently until it clicks. Restart the Komp afterwards.

  3. Unplug the Komp. Take the SIM card out by pushing it in slightly until it bounces back and you can take it out. Blow off any dust and insert the SIM card again. Plug the Komp back in by connecting the power cable.
  4. Check if there are any outages in the area. You can do this by searching online for "4G outage in my area".
  5. If nothing of the above is effective, please contact support.

If your Komp is using WiFi

This error message indicates that Komp is not connected with the internet. Perhaps the power cable is unplugged, Komp is not connected to WiFi, or it might have lost its connection (temporarily). Please double check with the user that the power cable is inserted. If it is, try the following options.

  1. Restart Komp by removing the power cable for 10 seconds. Often this will re-establish the connection.
  2. Restart the router by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
  3. If restarting the Komp and router does not work, connect your phone with the WiFi network and test if the internet is working properly. If there are issues with the internet, contact your provider.
  4. If the internet is working as expected, try to remove and add the network again to Komp, but please make sure to restart Komp in between removing and adding networks:
    - Open the Komp app and go to Settings > WiFi > Add WiFi.
    - Remove ALL added networks, by tapping on the network and then tap on the Remove button
    - Restart the Komp and Komp app
    - Add the WiFi-network again by going to Settings > WiFi > Add WiFi. Tap the correct network in the list and fill in the password. Tap Connect.
