Komp Family subscription

If you ordered Komp after 28th November 2022, the Komp Family subscription is required to use Komp. If you ordered Komp before 28th November 2022, this subscription is optional.

What is included in the Komp Family/4G subscription?

  • Unlimited 4G mobile data
  • Unlimited storage space for pictures and messages
  • Invite the entire family to share content to Komp
  • Extended customer support
  • No sharing or selling of personal data to third parties or advertisers

How do I pay for the subscription?Activate subscription

The person installing Komp will be asked to activate the subscription when setting it up. Simply follow the instructions in the app to subscribe. The app will automatically take you to the Google Play Store or App Store, through which the subscription is paid. It is possible to start the subscription later, but you won't be able to use the key features of Komp until the subscription is activated.

If you bought your Komp before 28th November 2022, you can activate the subscription via Settings > Add-ons > 4G subscription

Can someone else pay for the subscription?

Yes, any administrator can pay for the subscription via the app. 

Why do I need to pay for a Komp subscription if the Komp is connected to WiFi?

Komp has several monthly costs attached to it, like servers and hosting, service, software maintenance etc. These costs have all increased, making it necessary to introduce a subscription for all Komps. The subscription reflects the mentioned costs and includes free 4G.

Komp is assembled in Norway from components produced all over the world. The last few years, the price of these components, their shipping and production itself has increased. To make sure we can keep making and distributing Komp, we need to raise the price accordingly.

Austria, Aland Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican.

I have purchased Komp before 28th November 2022. Do I need a Komp subscription?

No, the Komp subscription is only required for Komps purchased after 28th November. If there is no WiFi available, activate a 4G subscription in the app for unlimited mobile data.

I have purchased Komp before 28th November 2022 and have a subscription. How do I cancel?

You cancel the 4G subscription via the Google Play Store or App Store. Find more instructions here. If you are renting Komp and wish to cancel, please return your Komp to us.
